Under the guidance of Director, Professor, (Dr) R. K. Singh, the Department of Information Technology, International School of Management, Patna organised a virtual Expert Talk on the theme “Microservices- A Technology Trend in 2023” on Friday, 12 May 2023. The event featured Mr. Tanweer Alam, a Senior Software Developer at Model N client, Cognizant Technology Solutions, as the esteemed speaker.
Microservices architecture has gained significant momentum in recent years, revolutionizing the way software applications are designed, developed, and deployed. Recognizing the importance of this technology trend, this expert talk was intended to provide valuable insights of the concept of Microservices and its implementation in industry to its BCA students and aware them about the latest trends and technologies in microservices.
Mr. Tanweer Alam, with his extensive experience in the software development field, delivered an in-depth analysis of microservices, an architectural approach in IT, and their relevance in the current technological landscape. His talk covered various aspects, including the fundamental concepts of microservices, their advantages, and the challenges associated with their implementation. He also shared real-world examples and case studies to illustrate the practical applications of microservices.
Mr. Alam discussed the concept of microservices, which is a software development approach that focuses on breaking down applications into small, independent services that communicate with each other through APIs. He explained how this approach can help organizations to achieve greater agility, scalability, and resilience in their software systems.
The talk was attended by hundreds of BCA students and faculty members. The participants actively engaged in the discussion and raised various questions related to the implementation of microservices in real-world scenarios. Programme Coordinator and Nodal Head of the institute, Mr. Rajeshwar Dayal, IT Experts Assistant Professor, Mr. Ravi Singh, Ms. Vandana Verma and the other faculty members of the IT department were present during the session.
