  1. Journalist: The main role of a journalist is to find news through various sources such as research and interviews, report it, document it, and present it honestly and ethically via any mass medium – newspaper, TV channel, or online news.
  2. TV Anchor: A TV anchor gathers information, writes his/ her own stories, and reads them out to the audience. The job role of a TV anchor also includes reading stories written by other reporters.
  3. News Editor: One of the main responsibilities of a news editor is to decide which story is worthy to be covered. A news editor also assigns work to reporters, check for accuracy of the news, and writes headlines.
  4. Video Jockey: A Video Jockey or VJ is an announcer who introduces music videos on different music TV channels. Sometimes, a VJ also conducts interviews with TV personalities.
  5. Radio Jockey: A Radio Jockey or RJ has the responsibility of playing music, holding discussions with listeners and conducting interviews with different celebrities on the radio.
  6. Feature Writer: A feature writer is responsible for writing long, in-depth articles that are usually a mix of news writing and narrative storytelling. This means that through in-depth articles, a feature writer presents facts in a way that is creative and informative.
  7. Columnist: The job role of a columnist is to analyze news, create a perspective on it through personal knowledge as well as research and write a column. A column can appear at different places including newspapers, magazines, and blogs.
  8. Photo Journalist: A picture speaks more than a thousand words. A photojournalist is an artist with a camera who by using technical skills and artistic ability clicks pictures of people, landscapes, places, etc. & gives an appropriate caption to them. A photographer can work for a publication/ TV channel and can also choose to operate his/ her own business.
  9. Public Relations Officer: A Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for understanding and supporting its clients. A PRO is also responsible for handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and different PR activities
