Commemorating the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, an expert talk on Nehru: Myth or Realty was held at Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium in International School of Management Patna on Monday 14 November, 2022. Professional Economist, ISM, Director, Professor (Dr.) R. K. Singh and Senior Assistant Editor, Indian Express and Author, Sri Santosh Singh, were the key-note speakers of this programme.
Inculcating a sense of studying good and authentic books on Indian heritage into the students Director Sir quoted Nehru’s statements on the contemporary myths related to nationalism, separatism, communism, capitalism and socialism. He said that reading habit of authentic books enhance our communicative competence which is essentials for a prospective corporate manager. Mr. Santosh Singh presented Nehru’s views on national and international affairs by telling some interesting stories.
The programme was commenced with cultural programme and exhibition of art and craft. More than thirty First Semester students of BBA, BCA, BCP and BA (JMC) participated in singing, dance, skit and speech. Sakshi and Ujjawal, Shital and Shweta of BBA I anchored the two sessions of the programme directed and monitored by Dr. Neshat Qumar and Mrs. Sweta Roy. All the participants were felicitated with mementoes by the eminent speakers and present faculty members. This programme was completely planned and executed by the Director with active coordination of the First Semester students.
