International School of Management Patna celebrated the festival of colours, Rangotsav with great excitement and enthusiasm on Friday, 03 March. Several cultural programmes were held on the 3-acre luxurious green and flowery campus of the institute. Honourable Chairman, Sri Samrendra Singh, Vice-chairman, Sri Deval Singh, Secretary, Sri Amal Singh, and Director of ISM, Professor (Dr) R. K. Singh graced the occasion as chief guests. A large number of students, faculty, and staff members warmly welcomed all the members of the Board of Governing body of the institute.
The celebration commenced with traditional rituals followed by the distribution of sweets and snacks. Students from various cultural backgrounds joined in festivities. The campus was abuzz with laughter, dance and folk devotional songs. The colours of Holi were splashed all around, and everyone had a great time bonding over the festival. Seven groups of students participated in stand-up comedies, humorous poems, regional Holi skits, group dance and chorus songs. More than 1500 students witnessed a moment of merriment together.
Speaking on the occasion, Admin and Member of Cultural Committee, Ms. Neeru Kumari Jha, expressed her joy and happiness on seeing the students enjoying the festival with enthusiasm. She said, “After a two-year consecutive period of unprecedented gloomy times of pandemic and restrictions on social gatherings, we are very happy to have our campus savouring the moment humour and humanity. We organise Holi celebration for our students every year with an intention to inculcate a sense of humour into the students so that they could control over their emotions and enhance their patience to maintain amiable personality trait at the workplace in corporate life.”
In congratulatory remarks, Director, Prof. (Dr) R. K. Singh said, “Holi is a festival that transcends all boundaries and brings people together. Our institute encourage the celebration of diversity and culture, and this event is a testament to our commitment towards that.”
The event was organized by the Cultural Committee of ISM. On behalf of the other members of Cultural Committee and its Rangmanch wing, Chairperson of the Committee, Ms. Shilpi Kavita said, “The institute aims to continue organizing such events that promote a sense of community, cultural harmony, and social engagement among its students.”
