Under the guidance of Director, Professor, (Dr) R. K. Singh, the Department of Human Resource Management of the International School of Management Patna organised a guest lecture on “Skills for an Effective Manager; Classroom to Corporate” for the 4th Semester BBA, BCP and BAJMC students on Saturday, 3 June 2023. Esteemed Manager-Business Banking and Corporate Relations, HDFC Bank, Mr Anurag Rathod, graced the event as a resource person. He brought extensive industry experience and expertise to his lectures.
During this engaging lecture, Mr Rathod shared his ability to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts taught in the classroom and their practical application in the corporate world. The participants could get essential insights into the key skills required to excel as an effective manager. They could know about various practical aspects of managerial roles, such as leadership, persuasive communication skills, problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork. He highlighted some unprecedented challenges faced by managers during their transition from a classroom environment to the dynamic corporate world.
The students could gain a comprehensive understanding of the skills necessary to thrive in managerial positions, as Mr Rathod delves into real-life examples, case studies, and practical strategies. The lecture was followed by an insightful Q&A session, allowing participants to exchange ideas, seek clarification on specific topics and establish valuable connections within the industry.
