9th National Management Summit & Research Conference 2025 Inaugurated at ISM Patna

Patna, December 19, 2025: Under the guidance of visionary leader and the Academic Head, Dr. Sweta Rani, the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, on Friday inaugurated the two-day 9th National Management Summit & Research Conference 2025 (NMSRC-2025) on the theme “Changing Landscape: Navigating Transitions.” The national-level academic event is being organized by the Research & Development Cell in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the ISM campus. The conference has attracted wide participation from the academic and professional community, with approximately 100 research papers scheduled to be presented across multiple technical sessions conducted in both offline and online formats. The papers span diverse domains, including management, media, communication, technology, human resources, and society, and are being presented by academicians, researchers, industry professionals, and young scholars from premier business schools across the country. The summit is being organized for all postgraduate students of the Institute, including PGDM, MBA, and MCA programmes.

The inaugural session was graced by eminent academicians and experts as Chief Guests, including Dr. Kameshwar Ojha, Retired Joint Commissioner, Finance & Accounts, Finance Department, Government of Bihar; Dr. Aruneshwer Krishna Verma, Visiting Professor of Marketing Management, Christ University, Bengaluru, and the Indian Institute of Packaging, Mumbai; and Dr. Purnima Kumari, Assistant Professor in Economics, Purnea Mahila Mahavidyalaya.

This session was presided over by the Chairperson of NMSRC-2025, Dr. Sweta Rani, who delivered the thematic address, highlighting the significance of adaptive leadership and interdisciplinary approaches in navigating contemporary transitions in management and allied fields.

As the keynote speaker, Dr. Kameshwar Ojha shared his insights on public financial management, policy transitions, and governance reforms, drawing from his extensive experience as a senior finance professional, academician, and trainer. His address underscored the role of research-driven decision-making in strengthening institutional and economic frameworks.

Dr. A. K. Verma emphasised the importance of adaptability and flexibility, sharing how embracing change and technological advancements has personally contributed to his growth and success.

Keynote Speaker, Dr. Purnima Kumari, underscored the need for forward-looking thinking, asserting, “Think not only for today, but for tomorrow as well.” She reflected on why change occurs, how individuals should respond to it, and how, despite many situations being beyond our control, our response remains firmly in our hands. She further highlighted that adaptive and flexible individuals, who can anticipate change, are best positioned to transform challenges into opportunities.

As part of the inaugural proceedings, the dignitaries formally released the Souvenir containing the Abstracts of NMSRC-2025 research papers in digital format, and a book named “An Economic Game Changer: Bihar Rural Tourism with reference to Mithila Haat” authored by Dr. Anand Choudhary, Assistant Professor of Marketing at ISM Patna, marking a significant academic milestone of the institution.

The summit, inspired by the vision of ISM Chairman, Shri Samarendra Singh, Vice-Chairman Shri Deval Singh, and Secretary Shri Amal Singh, features a dynamic academic programme comprising keynote addresses, panel discussions, and technical paper presentations, all aimed at addressing critical contemporary issues and advancing knowledge in management studies.

The inaugural session was moderated and compered by Ms. Swati Savarn and Mr. Anas Rayees, Assistant Professors at ISM. Following the inaugural session, the first technical session was conducted, hosted by Ms. Ragdah Jawaid and Ms. Afreen Jahan, Assistant Professors. The session was chaired by Ms. Pooja Dubey, Professor of Human Resource Management; Mr. Sudhir Kumar Sinha, Professor of Finance and Commerce; and Mr. Rajeshwar Dayal, Professor of Computer Applications. On the first day of the conference, 35 research papers were presented, generating insightful discussions and scholarly exchange.

The conference will continue on Saturday with further technical sessions and academic deliberations, reinforcing ISM Patna’s commitment to fostering research excellence and thought leadership in management education.
