ISM, Patna, January 31, 2026: In a significant step toward strengthening industry–academia collaboration, students of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), III Semester, at the International School of Management, Patna (ISM, Patna), undertook an industry visit to Mundeshwary Construction Company on January 31, 2026. The visit aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to real-world construction operations, project management practices, and business processes within the infrastructure sector.
The visit was organized under the leadership of Vice-Chairman, Mr. Deval Singh, and conducted under the guidance of Director, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Academic Head, Dr. Sweta Rani, and Training and Placement Officer, Ms. Neeru Kumari. The academic coordination of the visit was carried out by Mr. Mohammad Shakeel (Assistant Professor, Finance) and Dr. Anand Kumar Choudhary (Assistant Professor, Marketing).
As part of the industry immersion program, students visited multiple operational units of Mundeshwary Construction Company, including the Mundeshwary Sales Office, a sample project site of the Mega Polis Project, the Batching Plant, and the Crystal Tower construction site, which is currently in the superstructure phase.
During the site walk-through, students explored various critical sections of construction activity, such as foundation and structural work, masonry operations, concrete mixing areas, and the material storage yard, which included cement, steel, and aggregate storage. These visits helped students understand the integration of technical execution with managerial planning and logistical coordination.
The visit also featured interactive sessions with key industry professionals, enabling students to gain practical insights and clarify their academic concepts. At the Mundeshwary Sales Office, students engaged with Mr. Ashish Verma and Mr. Shambhu Singh, members of the sales team, who addressed queries related to customer handling, sales strategies, and real estate marketing practices.
At the Mega Polis Pilot Project site, students interacted with Project Manager, Mr. Rafique, who provided an overview of project planning, execution timelines, workforce coordination, and on-site decision-making. At the Batching Plant, Plant Operator, Mr. Ranjit Mahto, explained the operational workflow, quality control measures, and the role of batching plants in ensuring consistency and efficiency in large-scale construction projects.
On this occasion, the TPO stated, “The industry visit organised by the Institute proved to be a valuable experiential learning opportunity, bridging the gap between classroom instruction and industry practice. Students gained firsthand knowledge of construction management, operations, sales processes, and organizational coordination, reinforcing their leadership and managerial competencies. Such industry visits play a crucial role in preparing management students for future professional challenges by enhancing their practical understanding, industry awareness, and career readiness.”
