Colours of Change: ISM Celebrates Holi with Culture, Creativity and a Social Message

ISM, Patna, February 28: The campus of the International School of Management, Patna, resonated with vibrant colours, rhythmic beats, and compelling performances as the Cultural Committee organised a spirited Holi celebration, blending festivity with a powerful social message.

Extending warm greetings on the occasion, Chairman Sri Samrendra Singh, Vice-Chairman Sri Deval Singh, Secretary Sri Amal Singh, and Secretary Madam, Ms. Akriti Singh conveyed their heartfelt wishes to students and parents. They emphasised that festivals should be celebrated with unity, joy and a meaningful sense of purpose.

The celebration was conducted under the able guidance of Director Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Academic Head Dr. Sweta Rani, and Administrator Ms. Neeru Kumari. Their leadership and encouragement played a vital role in shaping the programme’s vision, ensuring that the event reflected both cultural vibrancy and the institution’s commitment to social awareness and holistic development.

Moving beyond conventional revelry, this year’s Holi celebration carried a deeper resonance. Undergraduate and Postgraduate students participated enthusiastically in solo and group performances, including singing, dance, and skits.

What set the event apart was its strong public service theme. Through thought-provoking presentations, students highlighted the harmful effects of alcohol and tobacco consumption. Expressive storytelling, energetic choreography and melodious renditions transformed the stage into a platform for awareness, demonstrating how art and culture can serve as powerful instruments of social change.

In keeping with environmental responsibility, the celebration featured the use of organic colours. The campus was awash with natural hues, symbolising harmony with nature and reinforcing the institution’s commitment to sustainable and safe festivities.

The programme was confidently anchored by Ramkrishna and Sonam of BAJMC's fifth semester, whose energetic presentation kept the audience engaged and added festive charm to the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Swati Savarn, Chairperson of the Cultural Committee, remarked that festivals are not merely occasions for celebration but opportunities to inspire positive transformation. She underscored the power of youth to influence society through responsible expression, noting that when celebration is combined with awareness, it becomes more meaningful and impactful.

The Holi celebration at ISM Patna was more than a festival of colours, it was a celebration of consciousness, creativity, and community spirit. By integrating cultural vibrancy with strong public service messages and eco-friendly practices, the institution once again reaffirmed its commitment to holistic education and social responsibility.

As colours filled the air and smiles brightened every face, the spirit of Holi at ISM Patna stood as a reminder that true celebration lies in spreading joy, awareness, and positive change.
