ISM, Patna, August 15, 2025: The International School of Management (ISM), Patna, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a vibrant blend of patriotic spirit and visionary student initiative. Organised by the Institute’s Cultural Committee, the event brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests, including the Principal, Dr. Sunita Singh, along with teachers and staff from Mundeshwari College of Teacher Education (MCTE), who joined the Patrons of ISM for the occasion.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the tricolour by the Chairman, Sri Samrendra Singh, in the presence of Patron, Sri Deval Singh, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Sri Amal Singh; Special Guest, Sri Sanjay Singh, Academic Head, Dr. Sweta Rani; faculty members; staff and students. Speaking on the occasion, Academic Head, Dr. Sweta Rani, asserted, “Independence is incomplete unless it empowers our young minds to think critically, act ethically, and innovate fearlessly. At ISM, we are committed to nurturing such leaders—individuals who will not only excel in their careers but also shape a just, progressive, and self-reliant nation.”
Adding to the day’s significance, ISM Patna launched the FinEdge Finance Club, a student-led initiative under the guidance of the Innovation & Incubation Centre. In his inaugural address, President of the Club, Dr. D. N. Singh, drew parallels between the ideals of independence and the empowerment brought by financial literacy. “True independence,” he emphasised, “is not just the breaking of political chains, but the liberation of our abilities and the wise stewardship of our resources.”
The Mentor and Vice-Presidents of the Club, Head of the Commerce Department, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Sinha, highlighted the club’s mission to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world financial skills through activities such as stock market simulations, financial modelling bootcamps, and startup pitch competitions. The dual celebration ended with renewed patriotic zeal and a collective pledge to uphold the values of courage, integrity, and prosperity symbolised by the tricolour—values that FinEdge aspires to translate into the financial and entrepreneurial journeys of ISM students.
