ISM, Patna, February 09, 2026: The Department of Management, International School of Management (ISM), Patna, successfully organized an expert talk under its ongoing Expert Talk Series, featuring an expert talk guest on the theme “Startup Funding: How to Secure Funding for Your Startup.” The session aimed to equip PGDM and MBA students with practical insights into the evolving startup financing ecosystem.
The event was held under the leadership of Mr. Deval Singh, Vice-Chairman, ISM, Patna, whose vision continues to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and experiential learning opportunities for students.
C.A. Kunal Kishore, a distinguished finance and investment professional with extensive experience in venture finance, capital structuring, and high-growth ecosystem development, delivered the talk. Drawing from his professional journey with leading organizations such as American Express, HCL Corporation, and Trifecta Capital, Mr. Kishore shared real-world perspectives on fundraising strategies, investor expectations, valuation dynamics, and financial preparedness for startups.
Adding further depth to the session, the speaker highlighted policy-driven opportunities for startups, drawing on his experience as Lead Consultant to the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar. He elaborated on his contributions to landmark industrial and ethanol promotion policies and explained how policy frameworks can significantly influence startup funding and growth prospects.
The session was conducted under the academic guidance of Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Director, Dr. Sweta Rani, Academic Head, and Ms. Pooja Dubey, Head of the Department of Management, whose collective leadership ensured the program’s academic rigor and relevance. The event coordination was efficiently managed by Mr. Kundan Kumar, Assistant Professor (Economics).
