ISM Hosts Prestigious International Seminar on Research and Higher Studies

ISM, Patna, July 8, 2025: The International School of Management (ISM), Patna, in association with the Indo-European Education Foundation (IEEF), Warsaw, Poland, successfully hosted a prestigious one-day international seminar on “International Research and Higher Studies” on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Organised under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), ISM Patna, and guided by Academic Head, Dr. Sweta Rani, the seminar was conducted in a hybrid mode, facilitating participation from both in-person attendees and global virtual participants.

The seminar aimed to provide valuable academic insights to students, scholars, and faculty members on international collaborations in research and education, while highlighting emerging global opportunities in higher studies.

The event was graced by a distinguished panel of international and national speakers: Prof. (Dr.) M. I. H. Khan, Lokpal, MMHAP University, Patna & Former Registrar; Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar, Founder & President, Indo-European Education Foundation (IEEF), Poland; Prof. (Dr.) rer. oec. Serge Velesco, Educational Dean, Cooperation Degree Programs, Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, Germany; Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Sharif, Former Principal, Patna Law College & Head, IEEF Bihar & Jharkhand Chapter

The speakers deliberated on key themes including:

1. Academic Excellence through Global Teachers & Students Exchange Programs– Highlighting the transformative impact of academic mobility in fostering globally competitive education.
2. Scope of International Research and Higher Studies in the European Union for Indian Students– Outlining pathways to higher studies, scholarship opportunities, and research collaborations within the EU.
3. Reimagining Employability for Workforce Surplus/Deficit Nations– Addressing the alignment of academic curricula with cross-border employment trends and global workforce needs.

A notable highlight of the seminar was the interactive session featuring Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar with Dr. D. N. Singh, Principal, ISM Patna, Ms. Pooja Dubey, Head of the Department of Management and Mr. Anas Rayees, IQAC Coordinator. The discussion focused on building Indo-European academic partnerships through joint research supervision, teacher-student mobility, institutional collaboration, and scholarship facilitation for Indian students. The whole programme was moderated by Assistant Professor, Mr. Jai Kishor. 

The seminar drew enthusiastic participation from collaborating institutions, academia, and industry representatives, establishing it as a powerful platform for academic networking and dialogue.

The organising team included Dr. Sweta Rani (Chairperson), Dr. D. N. Singh (Convener), and Dr. Neha Jha (Co-convener), who ensured the event’s smooth execution and high academic standards.
