ISM Patna, July 16, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, organised a Monsoon Plantation Programme on the campus to mark the onset of the rainy season. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students, who came together to contribute towards creating a greener and healthier environment.
As part of the programme, participants planted a variety of saplings across the campus premises to enhance the green cover and encourage environmental consciousness among students. The activity also served as an opportunity to sensitise young learners to the importance of biodiversity, climate action, and community participation in protecting natural resources.
The plantation drive was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Director, Prof. (Dr.) Viveka Nand Sharma, Dean and Principal, and Prof. (Dr.) Sweta Rani, Academic Head, who appreciated the collective efforts of the ISM fraternity in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living. They emphasised that tree plantation is not merely a ceremonial activity but a long-term commitment towards ecological conservation and responsible citizenship.
The plantation programme was meticulously organised and coordinated by Ms. Neeru Kumari, NSS Cell Coordinator, and Mr. Basuki Nath Upadhyay, NSS Programme Officer. They encouraged volunteers to nurture the saplings regularly and highlighted that every planted tree symbolises hope for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by the participants to protect the environment through ongoing tree planting, conservation, and responsible environmental practices. The initiative reflects ISM Patna's consistent dedication to integrating environmental values into campus life while inspiring students to become socially responsible citizens committed to sustainable development.
