ISM Patna, August 12, 2026: The Department of Computer Applications at the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, organised “Promptathon 2.0,” a Prompt Engineering Competition, for students of the third and fifth semesters of the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme on Wednesday. The competition aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the rapidly evolving field of generative artificial intelligence and prompt engineering.
Built around the inspiring tagline “One Prompt Can Change the Game,” Promptathon 2.0 challenged students to solve real-world technological problems, design intelligent solutions, and innovate using the power of prompts. The competition encouraged participants to move beyond conventional interactions with artificial intelligence and explore how carefully designed prompts can be used to generate effective, creative, and problem-oriented solutions.
Mr. Piyush Pandey, Chief Technology Officer, and his team from Nexus AI served as the resource persons for the programme. They guided the participants on the effective application of prompt engineering and encouraged them to approach AI-based problem-solving with creativity, logical thinking, and precision. Their interaction provided students with practical insights into the growing relevance of prompt engineering in the contemporary technology landscape.
The event offered BCA students an opportunity to test their ability to communicate effectively with AI systems while applying their technical knowledge to practical challenges. Through the competitive format, the students explored the importance of clarity, context, iteration, and strategic thinking in developing prompts capable of producing meaningful and useful outcomes.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Neeru Kumari, Training and Placement Officer, with an emphasis on strengthening students’ industry-oriented technological competencies and preparing them for emerging career opportunities in artificial intelligence and related domains.
Promptathon 2.0 was organised under the academic guidance of Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Director; Dr. Sweta Rani, Academic Head; Ms. Neeru Kumari, IQAC Coordinator; and Mr. Rajeshwar Dayal, Head, Department of Computer Applications.
Mr, Rajeshwar Dayal remarked that the initiative reflected ISM Patna’s continuing efforts to expose students to emerging technologies and foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, critical thinking, and technology-driven problem-solving. The programme also underscored the growing importance of prompt engineering as an essential skill for effectively leveraging generative AI in academic, professional, and real-world applications.
