ISM Shines Bright with Joyful Festivities at Diwali Celebration 2025

ISM, Patna, October 17, 2025: The spirit of festivity and togetherness illuminated the campus of the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, as the Cultural Committee organised a vibrant Diwali Celebration on Friday, October 17, 2025, under the guidance of Academic Head, Dr, Sweta Rani. The event transformed the institution into a hub of colours, creativity, and cultural expressions, echoing the joyous essence of the Festival of Lights. The event was coordinated by Cultural Committee Chairperson, Dr. Neha Jha.

Open to students from UG and PG programs, the celebration sought to promote cultural harmony, artistic talent, and the spirit of collective festivity within the ISM family.

The festivities began with a series of engaging competitions designed to evoke traditional artistry with a modern touch. The Rangoli Competition, held under the guidance of Assistant Professor, Mr. Kundan Kumar, saw students creating intricate patterns using vibrant hues, each design reflecting themes of unity and positivity. Simultaneously, the Gharonda and Toran Making Competition, coordinated by Mr. Nishant Kumar at the open theatre ground, showcased students’ craftsmanship and imagination in creating miniature festive homes and decorative motifs.

Adding to the artistic fervour, the Diya Decoration segment, led by Ms. Swati Savarn, brought alive the age-old custom of lighting lamps with creative flair. Students adorned earthen diyas with colours, beads, and patterns that symbolized hope and prosperity. Meanwhile, in the Computer Lab – I, participants of the Digital Poster Making Competition, mentored by Mr. Sujeet Kumar, blended technology with tradition to design visually striking digital artworks capturing the cultural and environmental themes of Diwali.

After the evaluation of entries across respective venues, the celebration culminated with a skit performance on Chhath Pooja, directed by Mr. Rahul. The performance offered a heartwarming and thought-provoking portrayal of the festival’s deeper essence—devotion, purity, and gratitude to the Sun God for sustaining life on Earth.

The event concluded with an Award Announcement and Distribution Ceremony, where the winners of various competitions were felicitated in the presence of esteemed judges. The Rangoli Competition was evaluated by Dr. D. N. Singh and Dr. Sunita, while the Diya Decoration Competition was judged by Ms. Pooja Dubey and Ms. Bhavna. The Poster Making Competition was assessed by Mr. Rajeshwar Dayal and Mr. Awadhesh, and the Gharonda and Toran Making Competition by Mr. Sudhir Kumar Sinha and Dr. Anand Chaudhary. All participants were commended for their outstanding creativity, enthusiasm, and festive spirit.

Speaking on the occasion, Academic Head, Dr. Sweta Rani, emphasized that such events not only uphold India’s rich cultural traditions but also strengthen the bonds of friendship, creativity, and inclusiveness among students. The Diwali Celebration at ISM Patna stood as a shining example of how cultural festivity and academic life can blend harmoniously to create a joyful learning environment.

As diyas glowed across the campus and laughter filled the air, ISM Patna once again reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing holistic education, where knowledge meets culture, and learning is illuminated by celebration.
