Patna, September 3, 2026: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, International School of Management, Patna, organised an industrial visit to Kashish News and the News18 Bureau Office to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of professional media houses.
A total of 19 students participated in the visit, accompanied by Dr. Sunita, HOD, BAJMC Department, and Assistant Professors Swati Savarn and Aarti Sinha.
At Kashish News, Mr. Navneet, Senior Head and Programming Director, guided the students through various sections, including the PCR, MCR and Reporter Room. Students learned how news is gathered, produced, edited and taken on air, along with insights into television programming, advertisements, newsroom coordination and broadcast technology.
The visit to the News18 Bureau Office further familiarised students with professional newsroom practices, media terminology, reporting, news gathering and the coordination involved in delivering news to audiences.
The industrial visit provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to the media industry, helping them connect classroom concepts with real-world journalism and broadcasting practices.
