ISM Patna (26 December 2023): On Tuesday, 26 December PGDM students from the International School of Management (ISM) Patna participated in the Entrepreneurship Awareness Worksop organised by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development and Facilitation Office, Patliputra Industrial Estate, Patna. The students got an opportunity to interact with Development Commissioner, MSME, Mr. Pratap Singh, Director, IEDS, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Samrat M. Jha on various technical issues related to entrepreneurship development ecology.
The Innovation and Incubation Cell of the Institute organised this industrial visit under the coordination of Ms. Neeru Kumari, TPO, Ms. Shilpi Kavita, Domain Leader of Economics and Finance Department and Member of Innovation and Incubation Cell, Ms. Pooja Dubey, Domain Leader of Human Resource Management.
ISM Students Imparted Entrepreneurship Development Knowledge by MSME Experts
The whole day the students engaged in in-depth conversations with experts, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences. This interaction not only enriched the students’ understanding of practical business scenarios but also allowed them to witness the innovative approaches adopted by MSMEs in diverse sectors. They could know about several schemes facilitated by MSME such as Aatmanirbhar Bharat, ZED Scheme, MSME Lean Scheme, P M Mudra Yojna, MSE-CDP, Raising and Accelerating Scheme, Marketing Assistance Scheme, Vendor Development Programme, PM Vishwakarma Scheme, International Cooperation Scheme etc. The experts also deliberated on a few MSME portals like DCMSME, SAMBANDH, MSME Testing Centre. In this way the students navigated through this workshop, gaining insights into marketing strategies, supply chain management, and the role of innovation in sustaining and scaling MSMEs.
The TPO of the Institute expressed the significance of such experiential learning opportunities, stating, “At ISM Patna, we believe in providing our students with holistic learning experiences. This entrepreneurship awareness programme as a workshop offered our PGDM students a unique chance to bridge the gap between theory and practice, witnessing firsthand challenges and triumphs of MSME entrepreneurs across the nation.”
