Shree Tarkeshwar Singh Memorial Lecture 2022

Ms Illa Mittal, Zone Chairperson, Lions Club International, and Board Member of Women Entrepreneurs Cooperative Society, on Saturday, 13 August 2022, interacted with the students of the International School of Management Patna in Tarkeshwar Singh Memorial Lecture. Speaking to the students she told, “Challenges always brings opportunities with them.” She shared her own both positive and negative experiences of the lockdown during the Covid period. She cited a few success stories of students who got selected in Government services only due to devoting maximum time to their studies during lockdown without any deviation. Sticking to the goal students should keep patience in adverse situations.

The other resource person of the lecture Ms. Lovely Kumari, Secretary, Development of Rural Issues (Ngo), a National Taekwondo Gold Medallist advised the students to take interest in extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities make them confident and skilful. Mere bookish knowledge cannot enhance their personality. If they want to achieve their target in life they must have value added academic career.

The Director of ISM, Professor (Dr) R. K. Singh offering memorial tribute to academician, administrator, spiritual son of the soil and doyen of ISM and Mundeshwari College for Teacher Education, Late Shree Tarkeshwar Singh, elder brother of Shree Samrendra Singh, made acquainted to the students with his simplicity, crisis management attitude, sacrifices, dedication, sagacity and endeavour towards excellence. Further he told, “ISM is nothing but an epitome of his virtuous qualities and attraction towards social reforms through education cherished in his heart since student life.” Prof. Singh got very emotional while deliberating his inspiring memories and contributions to all the sections of society. This memorial lecture was convened and moderated by Assistant Professor Ms. Shilpi Kavita. The whole programme was ended up with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Nayan Ranjan Sinha.
